Nodestrand isn't a US company, but we follow the standard DMCA process because most rights-holders know the form. If you own a copyright and think something on Nodestrand uses your work without permission, here's how to tell us.
How to send a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject Nodestrand copyright takedown and include:
- The work you own. Title, where it's published, and how to verify you own it.
- The Nodestrand URL of the material you want removed. Full link to /m/<slug> or /u/<username>.
- Your contact info. Name, email, and (if you're acting for a company) the name of the rights-holder.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use isn't authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you're authorised to act for the rights-holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We review valid notices, usually within a few business days. If we agree, we remove the material and notify the person who posted it.
Counter-notices
If your material was removed and you think it shouldn't have been, send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- the material that was removed and where it used to be
- your contact info
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- your consent to jurisdiction in Poland (where we operate)
- your physical or electronic signature
We forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. If they don't follow up with a court order within a reasonable period, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that get multiple valid takedowns will be permanently banned.
Notes
We're a two-person team. Notices that don't include the information above can't be processed. Please re-send a complete notice if we ask.
We're not a "designated DMCA agent" registered with the US Copyright Office. We follow the substance of the process voluntarily.
